Eureka! Your Local Search Guide is on its way.

Thanks for registering for your free hands-on guide. An email link is on its way. But why wait? As promised, here are five local search strategies you can work on starting right now:

  1. Add localization to your page titles where Google will see it immediately—e.g. “Smith & Jones|Attorneys at Law|Menlo Park, CA.”
  2. Add NAP (name, address and phone) information wherever appropriate (possibly in the footer of every page) and make sure it’s consistent.
  3. Change 800 numbers to local numbers in your contact information, or add local numbers with local area codes.
  4. Claim your business with Google+, Yelp and Facebook and write descriptions with local keywords. (Our guide has details.)
  5. Start thinking about local tie-ins that will produce citations—like a Chamber of Commerce that will list your business in a directory. (But make sure they have a website, or they won’t contribute to local search visibility.)

There’s lots more in your hands-on guide. Check your inbox… it’s probably there by now.
