That’s where we came in. We studied their visual brand identity and designed a series of email templates for customer and eNewsletter emails.  We also did the copy writing and design for a series of landing pages to be used for Google AdWords and Display Advertising.  All pages were rigorously tested for responsive design and mobile compatibility.  We took the burden off the shoulders of First Northern and delivered a complete set of templates within just a few short weeks of starting. Now their IBM Marketing Cloud is humming.</p>

We worked extensively in Marketo to re-define lead scoring and reporting, and then revised lead assignment rules in Salesforce and trained sales personnel on the process for converting leads to opportunities and or accounts. We also improved the functionality of all landing pages hosted on the WordPress website and optimized the scripts writing those leads into Marketo.  We also became the de-facto web masters for the website and performed daily content updates and all technical updates.</p>

This process helped to generate 30-50 qualified sales opportunities per month, which exceeded their goals by 200%.  We also trained internal marketing and sales staff on how to use ExactTarget, and designed custom reporting dashboards from Salesforce to meet the executive teams’ needs in evaluating the marketing to sales pipeline.</p>

We immediately got to work evaluating the past year’s campaigns, optimizing old and new creative for deliverability and mobile compatibility, determined multiple layers of offers, and set up a detailed marketing calendar with a goal to increase sales.  We then coordinated the multiple players involved from retail partners, such as Walmart, to sub agencies to make sure all campaigns happened on time. We executed detailed reporting and meetings with several internal stakeholders.  The result was a stunning 25% increase in photo direct sales revenue from the previous year.</p>

Safeway, from the beginning of the internet, had a forward-thinking CEO who believed the internet and data could bring a better shopping experience for more satisfied and loyal customers.  This spawned the Safeway Reward Card, which offered extensive in-store reward discount pricing, reward points for gasoline purchases at Safeway and Chevron gas stations, and the Safeway.com grocery delivery service.</p>
<p>Over time, a new idea emerged to give shoppers personalized discount coupons, loaded onto their reward account just for them.  This became the Safeway Just 4 U program.</p>
<p>We were hired to help launch the Just 4 U program.  We strategized, wrote copy and designed the customer onboarding process, website copy, engagement campaigns, and an eNewsletter program.</p>
<p>This was a major email marketing undertaking to manage highly personalized, segmented data into email templates delivered several times a week.  We provided three full time email marketing managers working on-site at the Safeway.com headquarters to manage the daily logistics, programming, set up of emails on <a href="http://www.experian.com/marketing-services/cross-channel-marketing/products/cheetahmail.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Cheetahmail</a> and ExactTarget, and reporting.</p>
<p>The result was a very successful launch and sustained growth for the program…and thousands of satisfied customers. </p>

It has two audiences to communicate with in their email marketing programs. First, they have many email promotions they make to restaurant owners who they partner with for taking customer reservations.  This email program is managed using Marketo marketing automation.  We helped OpenTable clean up data and reporting in Marketo, and we re-designed the email and landing page templates to be easier for marketing managers to use and to be compatible with mobile responsive design.</p>
<p>Secondly the other email audience is the customers who book restaurant reservations through the OpenTable platform.  Our first task was to help revise the strategy and the launch of a new rewards program.  We did the copy writing and design on an on-boarding and retention series.  We then managed the weekly email programs executed through Silverpop.</p>
<p>We then turned our attention to the highly complex weekly email programs that make restaurant recommendations by region and type to customers. These programs are crucial to driving traffic to new restaurants that were being supported through OpenTable and also to driving restaurant reservations daily across the country.   This email program was very complex and manual and required several email and data managers to execute every week. We knew there was a better way, and we worked extensively to integrate a new email sending platform, ExactTarget, to create new dynamic content email templates that simplified the data matching and delivered much more personalized offers to customers. The templates also made the marketing manager’s jobs much easier. </p>
<p>Lastly, since the marketing calendar accelerated with new offers and technology to implement, we provided in-house and outsourced staffing to help execute the 20 various email programs each week, and to issue custom reporting dashboards.  In the end, our goal was to help OpenTable have more satisfied and loyal customers, and that was achieved and measured by rapid growth in new customers who increased their monthly average reservations because of the email marketing efforts.</p>

<p>This involved designing, programming, pulling lists from <a href="https://www.salesforce.com/" target="_blank">Salesforce</a>, and reporting on multiple email campaigns per week.  The campaigns were executed for worldwide marketing departments in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.</p>
<p>We also created a <a href="https://products.office.com/en-us/sharepoint/sharepoint-2013-overview-collaboration-software-features" target="_blank">Microsoft SharePoint</a> portal to track email campaign requests, share assets and house lists and reporting.</p>
<p>Lastly all campaigns needed web pages, web portals and landing pages designed, programmed and created to capture leads and promote event registrations.  We managed this activity for all programs.</p>
