A Walk through History:
Beasley Direct Marketing was founded in 1990 by Laurie Beasley after a successful career as a marketing manager for hardware company, TeleVideo Systems, and as a direct marketing manager at Borland International, where she helped pioneer the company’s direct software upgrade business model, and increased company revenue several million dollars a year.

After leaving Borland, Ms. Beasley began to consult for other software and hardware companies who all recognized the need for a better software and hardware upgrade revenue model. This was rewarding consulting work; however she began to recognize that companies were having trouble executing the plans. Direct marketing is both science and art, and the companies were struggling with both. Eventually she decided to switch from just being the consultant who built model, to a full service agency that built the model and executed it using direct database marketing.

With the arrival of the internet in the 1990s, a huge shift happened in marketing. In order to stay ahead of the curve, Laurie’s husband, David Beasley, a data and CRM expert, joined the agency to help manage innovations in creative and technical services for developing websites and online advertising.
